Scholarship Information

Thanks to the generous support of the NCSO community we are proud to offer scholarships that fully cover team registration and/or coaches conference training.

To ensure these resources go where they are needed most, applicants must state a financial need for a scholarship. Priority will be given to Title 1 schools and teams in Tier 1 counties.

Only teams who provide a detailed, well-justified statement of financial need for an NC Science Olympiad scholarship will be considered. 

What is Covered?

• 25 team registration scholarships (One registration fee waived per school or per division)
• 25 coaches conference scholarships (One conference fee waived per school or per division)

Important Deadlines

• Apply by: September 30, 2026
• Results announced: October 6, 2026

NCSO Staff Tip: Go ahead and register for your Regional Tournament and/or Conference spot. Just select “Pay Later” at check out. If you receive a scholarship we will handle the logistics for you. If you do not receive a scholarship we can cancel your registration, if needed.
