Description:

Participants will answer interpretive questions that may use one or more state highway maps, USGS topographic maps, Internet-generated maps, a road atlas, or satellite/aerial images.

Materials:

Teams may bring two stand alone non programmable non graphing calculators, protractors, rulers, other measuring devices, USGS Map Symbol Sheets, hand lenses/magnifying glasses, hard copies of other information in any form and from any source, colored marking devices consistent with the colors utilized on USGS topographic maps at State and National Tournaments.  Materials may be in a container.  Event Leaders will provide all required maps and images.  

Scoring:

High Score wins. Points are given for each correct answer, some questions may be worth more than others. Predetermined questions will be used to break ties.
