Questions Asked:

Can students ask “Does it start with the letter A?”  It doesn’t say that in the rules, but I know in many guessing games like this, you can’t ask questions about the letters.  Also, please let me know if I need to be emailing someone else my clarification questions.

Yes, students can ask questions about letters, but this is not a very good strategy for quickly getting through the list.

Can they nod yes or no (it says event leader demonstrated clues)?
Yes, they can, but they should try to nod and say yes as well.
Do they need a writing utensil?
It would be good to have one to write their names on the sheet at the end, but not a huge deal if they forget, the judges will have them too.
Will all 3 people get a word at the beginning, or just the person guessing?
Only one word should be visible at a time. The other 2 headbands should not have words showing.
Do students have to say, “Is it an animal?” or is “Animal?” okay too?
We will not be grading them on full sentence structure.  Get you questions out, get your partners to respond and guess the term!  It is okay not to ask a full sentence.
