Description:

Students will estimate and measure properties of different types of objects including mass, area, volume, density, force, distance, time, and temperature as well as convert between units.

Materials:

Each team may bring two stand-alone non-programmable, non-graphing calculators. Participants are prohibited from bringing watches, writing implements, electronic devices (exception of a calculator), notes, or any kind of measuring device. All measurements and calculation units must be limited to the metric (SI) system.

Scoring:

Highest score wins. Ties will be broken using tiebreaker stations designated prior to the start of the event.

Final Score = Estimation Score + Metric Unit Conversion Score + Measurement Score.
