Description:

Students will demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the geologic characteristics and evolution of Earth’s moon and other rocky bodies of the solar system.  This event is usually done as a sit-down test taking event.  It is also possible that the test be given inside a planetarium, or as a powerpoint where teams view slides and answer questions in a test book based on the slides. Teams may be viewing any combination of models, pictures, diagrams/charts, or recorded/written descriptions. They will then be asked to answer questions (multiple choice, fill in the blank, short answer, etc) related to the materials. 

Materials:

Each team may bring two 8.5” x 11” sheets of paper that may contain information on both sides in any form and from any source. This information may be used during any part of the event.

Scoring:

High Score wins.
