Required Materials: Each team may bring one 2′” or smaller three-ring binder, as measured by the interior diameter of the rings, containing information in any form and from any source along with one commercially produced field guide not contained in the binder.

Clarifications: NCSO will use this list to move up in content knowledge from Regionals to States to Nationals.

Description:

Participants will be assessed on their knowledge of North American birds.  See amended list above for birds that will be covered at each level of competition.

Materials:

Sheet protectors, lamination, tabs and labels are permitted in both the binder and field guide.

Don’t forget to study those bird calls!

Going to museums and nature centers in the winter to see their bird collections is one way to stay warm and still study
